The design of the northern facade reflects the original Karlín buildings - there used to be factory halls with large glass surfaces.

The multifunctional building in Prague's Karlín district is mainly used for housing but also includes an administrative floor, a business floor, underground parking, technical facilities and a grocery store. The upper building consists of a trio of residential towers receding into the courtyard. At the first and second floor levels, the buildings are connected into a compact whole with above-ground areas that create cosy courtyards.

The project closes the gap in Křižíkova Street and connects it through three new courtyards to Sokolovská Street. In the courtyard, we have placed relaxation areas with trees and flower beds. In addition, there is also space for outdoor seating at restaurants and cafes. We created the surfaces of the courtyard from valuable materials: in the relaxing zones between the greenery, we combined stone mosaic and wooden terrace boards.

The plastered surfaces of the buildings are complemented by the suspended aluminium facade of the first and second floors, on which solid and glazed elements alternate. The colour concept is dominated by yellow, which appears on partial elements of the facade. Also, the alucobond linings of the individual passages have a yellow design. The northern facade to Sokolovská Street is lined with white ceramic elements.

Because we implemented the project between existing buildings and at the same time it was necessary to create three basement floors, we opted for a "top and down" construction method. To ensure the stability of the surrounding buildings, we spread the ceiling slab of the first basement between the Milanese walls. The ceiling was concreted directly onto the prepared terrain, supported it with temporary steel columns and excavated the soil. This allowed the construction of the second basement. We proceeded in the same way deeper - up to the foundation slab on the piles.
