Karolína Plazza II

We followed up the Karolína Plazza 1 project not only with the name, but also with the location, and sensitive approach to the original Karlín development. It is mainly characterized by classic Prague apartment buildings from the early twentieth century. 

The Karolína Plazza 2 complex consists of four multi-storey buildings with simple, yet detailed architecture. In addition to 54 apartments and 13 studios, it includes commercial and office space which are located on the first two floors. A new passage full of greenery and relaxation zones was created on the ground floor level, which complements the previous stage of construction and the existing connection between Křižíkova and Sokolovská Street. 

Two underground floors are reserved for parking and technical facilities. Similar to the Karolína Plazza 1 project, we chose the "top and down" procedure for construction. We spread the ceiling slab of the first basement between the Milanese walls to ensure the stability of the surrounding buildings and concreted it directly onto the prepared terrain. We temporarily supported the first basement with steel columns and then excavated the soil below for the level of the second basement. We continued in this way up to the foundation board.
