Individual groups of the construction and development company Skanska have moved into a shared office building in Karlín. We designed and implemented an interior solution for them, based on the latest knowledge in the field of office space operation.
In the design, we used the principles of an "activity-based workplace" – an office arrangement based on individual activities. We started from the desire to create a pleasant working environment in which everyone has their own workplace but can switch to alternative workplaces according to their current needs. These are designed to suit different ways of working.
High tables with bar stools are ideal for quick consultations in a large group. The so-called projection rooms are smaller enclosed spaces for three to four people that need maximum concentration without disturbance. Each projection room has a desk with chairs, a monitor and a connection for laptops. The meeting rooms have all modern office equipment such as monitors, projectors, screens and smart walls.
Skanska's offices are located in the Corso Court IIb administrative building in Karlín, for which we collaborated with the Catalan office of RBTA with the architect Ricardo Bofilla. The building is a continuation of the already completed Corso Court IIa from 2008 and is part of the Corso Karlín urban complex.
