Every building has its own life story. For this one, we helped write twice.

As architects and civil engineers, we were there when the business and administrative centre of Vinice was created twenty years ago with the adjoining residential complex  Palouk. After the longtime majority of users moved out, the new owner decided to completely reconstruct the building. The aim was to modernise the original building and create a pleasant environment for working in a location surrounded by greenery and at the same time close to the centre. We are happy that we could participate.

The first four floors house several radio studios and Prima TV. The studios are built into the space that originally housed the hall. there are additional office spaces for rent on the upper floors. We designed them so that they were as flexible as possible and could be built according to the requirements of individual tenants. The office space is complemented by a ground floor with a supermarket, café, pizzeria, and a three-storey basement with technical facilities, warehouses, and underground garages.

The floor plan of the building allows the workplaces to be efficiently arranged to have plenty of daylight, plus there is space for newly designed atriums with Greenery. The interior has been enlivened with a new representative entrance hall and elevator lobbies.on individual floors. In addition to the external appearance of the building, we also focused on the revitalisation of public space and the expansion of greenery in the surrounding area.

When designing the overall modifications, we looked for technological solutions that would mitigate energy consumption and environmental impacts. We solved the complex facade reconstruction not only from the aesthetic, point of view but also from the thermal technical point of view. The building was newly insulated and aluminium fillings were placed in the openings to reduce the building's energy consumption. The additional insulation was covered with a pre-set alucobond facade in a combination of white, black and gold.
