At the end of February, our colleagues Jana and Veronika, who take care of interior design proje, went to Dogern, Germany, where Sedus, a company specializing in the production of office furniture since 1871, is based.

Their main mission was not only to introduce the history and production of the company, but mainly new trends and philosophies in office equipment.

Today, the centre of the office is no longer just the communal kitchen. According to recent research, employees like to move away from their desks to the "smart café", which is part of the office function space and not only provides a place for internal socialising but also becomes an informal meeting area. This hybrid workplace combines the best of both worlds: getting closer to a homey, cozy environment with the ability to interact instantly with colleagues. Hybrid in this context doesn't just mean working from home vs. working from the office, but also the ability to combine formal and informal, quiet focused work with team brainstorming, or using one space for both work and relaxation.

Sedus' 150+ year history is characterised by a pioneering spirit - whether it's ergonomics, production processes or sustainability.

Did you know that they developed the first ergometric adjustable chair back in 1926?

Thanks to SEDUS and Konsepti for the invitation and the excellent organisation of this inspiring excursion.
