CASUA, spol.s r.o. is a company that deals with project activities, engineering and consulting activities in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, urban planning and spatial planning. It provides architectural design of buildings, interior design and design of objects that are part of interiors and furnishings of buildings.
It has clients in the public and private sectors. During its existence, the company has developed a circle of clients who turn to it as their reliable partner in solving their investment projects.
The company has set itself the goal of belonging to the circle of successful companies, capable of providing the client with a service from the very beginning of the investment plan to the completion of the entire works.
The company's clients include development, construction, and engineering companies as well as individual builders and investors engaged in other business activities other than construction.
1 January 2007 CASUA became a member.
European Communities of EQUATOR European architects. Within that community there is a mutual Exchange of knowledge about recent architectural trends to achieve European quality design and architectural proposals.
In December 2009, the company became a founding partner of the Czech Council for environmentally friendly buildings.
The company's intention is to create quality services that meet high professional standards, maximise customer expectations and ensure long-term prosperity of the company.
In other words, the goal is to provide top level architecture in terms of expertise and quality while maintaining and improving economic conditions of the services provided.
The company’s own creation is taking place not only on the territory of the Czech Republic, but also in other countries.
The main reasons for drawing up the Code of Ethics:

The aim of the Code is to develop a healthy economic and prosperous business in accordance with legislation, internal company standards and good manners with emphasis on eliminating and reducing risks of criminal liability, by having meetings with statutory bodies, management, employees and business partners of the company.
The principles and requirements set out in this Code must be observed by all CASUA employees regardless of their status or employment classification. This also applies to part-time employees, employees on a fixed-term or workers with whom the company has an agreement for the implementation of work or work activity.
Any employee who learns of a violation of the Code of Ethics, has an obligation to report this fact to their direct supervisor.
1) The principle of responsibility and protection of a good name
The company carries out business activities in a permissible manner and without the use of illegal means. In all areas of business activities, the company follows in accordance with the legislation, internal standards, contractual commitments, with respect for moral and ethical values and client rights and business partners.
The company shall conduct itself in matter such that within the scope of its activities, it does not engage in activities that further criminal behaviour. In matters of risk, the company adheres to a zero-tolerance policy.
The company strives to create and maintain a transparent environment, under which criminal law can minimize the risks.
The Company is committed to the following health and safety work principles, to protect the environment and property of the company or third parties’ persons.
All employees of the company, including its management, are responsible for their actions, decisions and procedures chosen at work. They are fully aware of their individual competences that contains their work, they report to the rules of business ethics, and they are mindful of their professional honour.
Work tasks are performed by employees within the scope of the powers conferred, and in accordance with the job description.

The company is creating and will continue to create such a working environment, in which everyone treats employees with respect and dignity. It promotes personal growth of employees, their training, and the use of new technologies for work.
All relationships within the company, i.e. relations to employees, between employees and relations between superiors and subordinates are based on mutual trust enabling barrier-free exchange of information, independently of the working positions. Any use of profanity words, slander, humiliation, discrimination, violence, psychological or physical harassment is prohibited.
Employees shall maintain business secrecy and respect confidentiality information about their business partners and the information they are provided in the framework of their activities.
The company supports cultural diversity of its employees, and are trying to prevent discrimination.
The company does not tolerate any form of forced, compulsory or child labour.

It is forbidden to offer commercial service partners or any other form of cooperation that would be contrary to legal regulations, internal company regulations and good practice. If something is considered inaccessible it will also be considered acceptance of any performance from business partners that could compromise the impartiality or transparency of negotiations.
The company and all its employees are obliged to maintain commercial confidentiality and respect the confidentiality of information about business partners and contracts.

4) Political engagement, donations, sponsorship
The company and its employees in communication with public authorities will proceed in accordance with the legal regulations and ethical principles of fair dealing. The company does not make contributions or make any recommendations, directly or indirectly for the benefit of political parties, committees or for individual politicians. Staff may not on behalf of CASUA make any political contributions.
The Company provides only such donations and sponsorships that are not directed to violate the rules of fair play competition.
5) In the context of economic behaviour competition and participation in public procedures for contracts, the company and employees shall always proceed in accordance with applicable regulations, internal company policies and good practices.
As part of its participation in competitions shall comply with the rules of fair commercial competition. The company does not participate in formal nor informal agreements that undermine competition or otherwise does not abuse its market position. In particular, any kind of infringement of the rules of economic competitions, consisting e.g. in bribery, or in collusion with a competitor on price, market sharing or the submission of an apparent offer in tender procedure, or other serious violation of the law on public procurement (§ 248 of the Criminal Code Code). The company submits offers with true information.
When participating in a public tender, no action is allowed to gain priority or more advantageous conditions for obtaining public contracts (§ 256 of the Criminal Code – negotiation advantages in the award of public contracts), nor conduct aimed at preventing or disadvantaging the participation of other competitors in a public tender, or colluding with another competitor to secure public contracts for an unreasonable high price (§ 257 of the Criminal Code of the Code - mistakes in the assignment public procurement and in public competition). The company also considers it impermissible to share sensitive information with competitors during a public tender (prices, costs, capacities) or to transmit such information to unauthorised persons.
6) Relationship to competitors
The company respects the laws regulating competitive relations. To conducts itself honourably in competition, adhering to good practice and for the better of the industry reputation. The company upholds the integrity of fair competition, and treats all competitors as with equal partners.
Any contact with competitors’ employees is required to follow with due caution so as not to prevent violations of the law.
Company employees must not disseminate information about the f company’s share in: the market, business strategy or other internal affairs. They must also refrain from engaging in any activities, that could violate laws protecting competition.
When promoting the services offered the company uses true and comprehensive information so the client can always decide on the basis of facts.
7) The principle of working with documents
The company emphasises the obligation for employees to comply with the established internal procedures for contract management, particularly regarding the preparation and storage of all written documents (offers, contracts, orders, instructions, protocols, meeting minutes), the document the implementation of contracts.
These procedures are defined within the framework of quality management documentation (ISO). The company is dedicated to continuously monitoring and implementing appropriate internal measures upon identifying potential risks. As part of ISO certification and regular annual internal and external audits of the company.
Specific specifications of documents and their circulation is specified in the internal company regulations.
8) The principle of accepting and offering gifts
Employees may give gifts and promotional items to partners and suppliers only if they do not exceed normal courtesies of business relationships. These gifts should have symbolic value, such as, small advertising or representational items and must comply with company ethical values.
It is prohibited to directly or indirectly receive gifts of significant value.
Accepting and offering monetary gifts is prohibited without exception. The company does not tolerate any corrupt practices, in particular the acceptance of or demanding a bribe or other benefits for being an employee will act in violation of the working obligations, concluded by contract, internal regulations, good practice or other obligations arising from relevant legislation.
If there are any doubts or enquiries about admission suitability employees are obliged to contact their immediate supervisor.
9) Anti-corruption principle
The company rejects corrupt behaviour.
As part of the fight against corruption, the company prohibits any provision or promise of payment, other items, or third-party rights to any person, for example to obtain or maintain contracts or influencing official procedures.
10) The principle of accurate and complete financial records
The Company has faithfully and fully recorded all financial transactions and kept accurate records of them the accounting in accordance with the legal regulations.
No employee shall be allowed to behave in a way that could intentionally or by omission lead to false, inaccurate, or distorted company management records. The company management undertakes to ensure that all transactions are properly and timely approved.
The company prepares and maintains accurate records for an external tax and accounting firm. This firm ensures preparation and submission tax returns for all applicable tax obligations within the time limits set by law.
Prepares the financial statements for the company in a timely and truthful manner for clear and comprehensible information about financial situations and the company's economic results. The Company consistently monitors its management and accounting methods making efforts to ensure proper and responsible conduct of audits and other checks by the company's management. The Company duly and timely complies with its tax obligations to avoid any actions that could be considered tax evasion.
11) Principle of protection and use of company property
Employees shall take care to protect tangible and intangible company assets and its effective exploitation. Each employee is obliged to notify their supervisor of any suspicious or unauthorised use or theft of any company's assets.
The duty to protect company's assets, including information and intangible assets, particularly intellectual property rights, know-how, business plans and Strategies, extends to employees. Unauthorised use of such information and intangible assets is considered to be a serious violation of work rules.
12) Principle of non-infringement
CASUA will not take any action against an employee who reports a breach of the Code of Ethics. This provision does not apply to individuals who knowingly make false accusations or deliberately provide erroneous information.

a) The company's management shall focus on raising awareness of quality within the company, setting out intentions and goals in quality development, introducing them to other workers and motivating workers towards quality. The company management is fully dedicated to continuous product improvement and internal activities. This focus will be reflected in our business plans and will be supported by investments in the necessary training, resources, and Development.
b) Improving the management system quality in society ensures that all activities associated with the implementation of products and their quality are and will continue to be planned, managed, and monitored.
