BIM Expert Council

The Expert Council for BIM (czBIM) - buildingSMART Czech Republic - is an open, non-governmental and non-profit organization bringing together members, companies and individuals for the purpose of sharing and popularizing the new work methodology, which is connected with the introduction of the building information model (BIM) into construction practice. The adoption of the BIM work methodology in the construction industry will have an impact on all participants in the construction process - from design activities, through the management and implementation of construction contracts and the management and maintenance of real estate after the end of the life of buildings, throughout the entire life cycle of buildings. The aim of the activities organized by the Expert Council for BIM is to start a discussion on the possibilities of the BIM method and its gradual introduction into the construction industry and property management. The potential invested in the BIM work methodology is clearly confirmed by signals from several European countries. The council was established in 2011.
